World peace: It begins with YOU
So the world is a global village. Isn't that nice? Hmmm.... a global village, made up of continents, countries, cities, suburbs, neighbors......people. We are a global village made of people.... people who are neighborly? NOT?
is that the secret? that we are not neighborly enough, hence there is no peace among the neighbors of the global village? Neighborly people don't steal from each other or kill each other. They respect one another. Now if neighbors kill each they won't have neighbors... and that's not neighborly. We humans are social creatures, that's why God created a companion called Woman for Man. We should seek to enjoy each other's company and derive mutual pleasure from this companionship, from this neihborhood. We can only enjoy it if there is peace.
What's with all the wars, the hate, the anger, the fighting, the killing, the abuse? World peace begins with each individual of the global village.Stop the hatred, the bigotry, what's with all the anger, at work, at home? Is it necessary to that you run away from your neighbor, schoolmate, workmate, brother, sister, father.........or that they run away from you?
Why not be kind, civil, smile and share with your neighbor? let go of the anger and the hatred, embrace love, forgiveness, civility, fairness and grace towards your neighbor. You are a very important factor in achieving world peace. You are an important part of the global village.
World peace begins with you!!!

The year 2012 and beyond
I have never really taken the time to seriously consider how draining it is to be the person I am. It appears I am very hyperactive and always in overdrive mode, something that I always accuse my kids of being. The secret to my staying slim includes operating in overdrive mode and making sure that nothing escapes my attention. i sincerely do appreciate a lot of things that I find, did not happen through my own doing
i thank god for giving me life, strength, love and the sense to create and seize opportunities as they come, not only for myself but for those that I love as well.
Completing my M.Sc in ISM was and is a great achievement. Embarking on an Internet Governance course was a great accomplishment. Having my baby was a blessing that trumped all the things I had gone through, having my family healthy and well is a favour from God.
This year I seek to do more for God and family, start my online business, build my consultancy, incorporate a vegetarian diet, eat more whole grains, fruits and vegetables, travel ad visit my relatives all around the country, call more often and get a grant for a community project I am yet to think of

Research on ICT Governace
The long hiatus was a result of key personal problems(wheew, were they terrible?) and a number of activities to improve my professional abilities. They include completion of the IT and Internet Governance and the ICT Strategy and Policy course with DiploFoundation, the M.Sc Information Systems Management and the research on Internet Governance (http://www.diplomacy.edu/poolbin.asp?IDPool=1331).
I am proud of what I have achieved and give all thanks and praise toGod for leading and guiding me.

Two years later and I am back on the blog. This long unintentional absence was not good for the blog and for me. I have been quite busy and I have learnt so much through the past 2 years!
I am now in the second year of my M.Sc and it has been quite interesting- going back to school. I have completed courses in ICT and Internet governance and Advanced ICT and Internet Security with DiploFoundation. This has all brought me back to me- an ICT enthusiast with a passion for seeing and extracting the positive from all the technology advances, whio enjoys solving problems and looing for alternative ways especially to assist those without resources.
I have since become a volunteer trainee instructor with AFNOG and have facilitated training in UNIX Systems Administration in Botswana. I am so looking forward to the workshop in Kenya! It is such a great feeling to share what you know with others and to learn from them as well.
Unfortunately I could not attend the main AFNOG event this year due to school commitments but that would have bneen a great opportunity. next I am definitely attending and I hope to put together , expertly, my dissertation paper and go to socialise, mix , mingle, share and experience the real AFNOG atmosphere of "in this together for the beenfit of the continent". it is so invigorating to realise that you are a small part of something big and you are playing a part in trying to be the difference that you want to see on the continent.

Efficiency
I like the following article. it expresses exactly how i feel. Follow the link
Sometimes i just feel it is absolutely not necessary to engage in the things that I do but because someone telles me they want it done that way, don't mind the lack of resources etc.

Skills Building
I attended a workshop on Network services at the end of May in Morocco and it was quite interesting. I got to meet and share with people who experience the same things as i do at work, the same challenges, some frustrations and successes, from all over Africa. I must say this was really interesting and i had a lot of fun. Two weeks out of the office attending an intensive training is not a joke.
A good time was had by all!!!!! The next workshop in Egypt is definitely going to be an interesting one and i hope i will be able to raise the funds required.
